I acknowledge that the land on which this website's contents were mentally created has been the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, the Haudenosaunee, the Wendat, and the Mississaugas of the Credit. This land is part of the Dish with One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant; an agreement of mutual responsibility for future generations. This area in Tkaranto – colonially known as Toronto in Ontario, Canada – is also covered by Treaty 13 signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit in 1805 and today, this meeting place is still home to many Indigenous Peoples from across Turtle Island. So in Tkaranto, we are all treaty people, which means we alI share a responsibility to honour all our relations.

My relationship to this place is grounded in the journey of my own life that began by the waters of Etobicoke Creek, which have been stewarded by these aforementioned nations since time immemorial. In solidarity with them and with a loving commitment to care and regenerate life for the generations to come, I recognize my responsibility to learn from, respect, and actively support the ongoing care, stewardship, and sovereignty of Indigenous Peoples over these lands and waters. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to live and thrive on this land.

Static assets (HTML, CSS, JS, images) are delivered via Fastly CDN or AWS CloudFront, which may cache content in global edge locations (including Europe), but the core data storage remains in the U.S. Thus, this website's physical infrastructure likely spans across the traditional and contemporary lands of many Indigenous nations throughout what is now known as the United States of America, also Turtle Island. I acknowledge the original inhabitants of these lands, both past and present, and pay my respect to their elders. I recognize the histories of forced removal and colonization that have dispossessed the original inhabitants of Turtle Island.
